About National Gas
National Gas is one organisation formed of three businesses – National Gas Transmission, National Gas Services and National Gas Metering. It owns and operates the gas National Transmission System (NTS), a 5,000-mile pipeline network that transports gas from terminals and ports to every part of Britain, serving approximately 23 million homes and over 200,000 businesses. The company manages millions of gas metering installations and provides engineering design services for high-pressure pipelines while supporting the transition to net zero through hydrogen and carbon dioxide transport infrastructure development.
