Hours: 35 hours per week

About the role

We have an opportunity for an Asset Surveyor to join our Asset Delivery team, based in Glasgow. You will be working within a team of 7 and the role will include a mix of office, home and site work. You will be responsible for the delivery of quality surveying and capital investment services that respond to customer, organisational and financial needs within regulatory requirements.

The role sits within our Property Services department, who are responsible for delivering high quality and cost-effective property repairs, compliance and installation and estate services across the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Undertaking stock condition surveys and other property inspections across a broad range of stock including health and safety assessments
  • Involvement in disrepair cases, complaints, permission requests, repairs monitoring and other property related queries
  • Producing reports and documentation for work specifications and tenders
  • Supporting delivery of the cyclical programme, including surveys, specifications, resident consultations and liaising with other stakeholders
  • Contributing, as appropriate, to special programmes and projects in support of the Group's values and objectives

Requirements

  • Qualifications: To ensure full compliance with CDM 2015 legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to AssocRIC, MRICS, CIOB, Degree, HND or HNC in Surveying, or currently undertaking the qualification. As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted. If you have a lower level qualification along with practical experience and would be prepared to undertake this qualification with the support of Sanctuary Group, we would still welcome an application.
  • Some experience in a building and surveying environment
  • Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
  • Working knowledge of legislation and current practices
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to interpret computerised data
  • Driving: This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
