About the Role
Corpay is hiring a Business Development Manager within our Cross-border division, based in our Manchester office.
In this role, you will speak to business owners and C-level executives to learn about their business and international payments needs, determining how Corpay can help them operate more efficiently and cost-effectively. Your prospecting will create new business opportunities, build and grow your sales skillsets, and position you as a thought leader within the organization.
You will report directly to our Sales Director and regularly collaborate with internal sales teams.

Responsibilities
- Identify business opportunities by sourcing prospects and evaluating their FX needs
- Harvest sales channels within the sales region as per the Regionalised strategy and target markets, including business networking, exhibitions, specific sponsorship events, and telephone solicitation
- Sell Corpay solutions using a consultative approach, truly understanding client needs, presenting solutions based on their requirements, and fully explaining the value proposition and online product portfolio
- Manage client onboarding processes while maintaining exemplary customer experience
Qualifications & Skills
- A technologist who embraces sales automation technology
- Excited about working in the fast-paced FX industry where global events and economic announcements impact daily conversations with prospects
- Strategic-thinking with entrepreneurial spirit; approach sales open-mindedly
- Interest in foreign exchange and finance
- Proven sales and analytical skills for successful business generation
- Previous outbound business-to-business phone marketing or sales experience desirable
- Ability to navigate corporate structures to identify decision makers and build rapport
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, plus strong interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and focused, combined with effective organisational and time management skills
- Professional demeanour towards prospective and current clients coupled with strong listening skills
- Ability to work as a team player towards a specific sales goal
- Attention to detail, particularly with respect to client information and payment data, plus strong mathematical skills
