Business Development Manager — CIS

Win new customers with CIS, powered by Hubexo

If you are a closer who enjoys prospecting, building pipeline and turning commercial conversations into new business, this role gives you the platform to do that in a specialist construction market.

CIS powered by Hubexo, provides Irish construction intelligence that helps customers identify new projects, key companies and profitable leads. Our customers use CIS Online to understand market activity, find relevant opportunities and build stronger sales pipelines.

As a Business Development Manager, you will prospect into construction-sector businesses, engage commercial decision-makers and show how CIS can help them find and win more work. This is a genuine new business role, with ownership from first contact to close.

Why this role matters

This role is central to customer acquisition and commercial growth.

You will be speaking with people who care about finding the right projects, building their own pipeline and winning more work. That could include sales leaders, business development teams, commercial decision-makers, estimating or pre-construction contacts, business owners and senior leaders across the construction sector.

Your role is to help them understand how reliable construction intelligence can support their growth, while contributing to Hubexo's recurring revenue and long-term customer value.

What you'll do

You will:

  • Prospect into construction-sector businesses to create new sales opportunities.
  • Engage decision-makers across sales, commercial, estimating, pre-construction and senior leadership teams.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities in HubSpot CRM.
  • Lead discovery conversations that uncover customer growth goals, pipeline gaps and project intelligence needs.
  • Demonstrate how CIS Online helps customers identify new projects, key companies and profitable leads.
  • Present and negotiate proposals that turn prospects into long-term customers.
  • Close new business across phone, video and in-person meetings.
  • Work with Sales, Marketing, Product and Customer Success to turn market insight into commercial opportunities.
  • Exceed activity, pipeline, revenue and recurring revenue targets through focus, pace and ownership.

About you

You are a confident new business salesperson who is comfortable prospecting, opening conversations and closing deals.

You will bring:

  • 3+ years' B2B sales experience.
  • A proven record of hitting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Confidence prospecting into new accounts and engaging decision-makers.
  • The ability to run discovery conversations, qualify opportunities and move deals forward.
  • Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Confidence managing a full sales cycle, from first contact to close.
  • Experience using CRM systems. HubSpot experience would be useful.
  • The focus, resilience and ownership needed to succeed in a target-driven sales role.

Experience in construction, data, insights or SaaS would be helpful, but it is not essential. What matters most is your ability to create pipeline, build trust, understand customer needs and win new business.

What you'll get

You will join a commercial team where your work has a clear impact on customer growth.

You will get:

  • Ownership of the full sales cycle, from first contact to close.
  • A genuine new business role where performance, pipeline and customer acquisition matter.
  • Structured onboarding and expert coaching.
  • A short sales cycle, with many team members starting to earn commission within eight weeks.
  • The opportunity to build specialist market knowledge in the construction sector.
  • Support from recognised products, trusted insight and colleagues across Hubexo.
  • A role where sales performance, customer value and commercial growth are clearly connected.

Location and working pattern

This role is based from our Hubexo Belfast City Centre Hub, close to public transport links.

You will work on a hybrid basis:

  • 3 days per week in the hub for in-person collaboration.
  • 2 days per week from home.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:30, inclusive of lunch.

Reward

You will receive a competitive basic salary, uncapped commission and benefits.

Expected OTE:

  • Year 1: £55,500
  • Year 2+: £70,300
