The Role
Senior Oracle EPM Cloud (Planning) Functional Consultant
YOU MUST BE SC CLEARED OR ELIGIBLE FOR CTC CLEARANCE. TO BE ELIGIBLE YOU MUST HAVE LIVED IN THE UK FOR THE LAST 3 YEARS.
This is a true delivery role for an Oracle EPM Planning expert who takes ownership. We're looking for a Senior Oracle EPM Cloud Planning Consultant with deep functional expertise and strong hands-on technical capability — someone who has personally delivered multiple end-to-end Oracle Planning Cloud implementations and is comfortable being accountable for the outcome.
This is not a design-only or oversight role. You'll be hands-on throughout the lifecycle, building high-quality, scalable planning solutions that Finance teams genuinely rely on.
About the Opportunity
As a Senior Oracle EPM Cloud Planning Consultant, you'll deliver Oracle Planning Cloud (PBCS / EPBCS) solutions from initial requirements through design, build, integration, testing, and post-go-live support.
You'll work directly with Finance and FP&A stakeholders, translating business needs into robust technical solutions — and then building them yourself.
While you may mentor or guide others when appropriate, the expectation is clear: you can independently deliver complete Planning Cloud solutions end to end.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver full lifecycle Oracle Planning Cloud implementations
- Design and build planning models, metadata, forms, dashboards, and user experiences
- Develop and optimise complex business rules, allocations, calculations, and Groovy scripts
- Build and manage integrations using Data Management, EPM Automate, and automation tooling
- Work closely with Finance and FP&A teams to design driver-based planning, forecasting, and reporting processes
- Run workshops, gather requirements, and communicate clearly with senior stakeholders
- Produce high-quality documentation and support testing and go-live activities
- Support quarterly Oracle updates, regression testing, and ongoing enhancements
Requirements
Essential Experience:
- A minimum of 3 end-to-end Oracle Planning Cloud implementations delivered
- Strong hands-on experience across configuration, calculations, integrations, and automation
- Proven capability with:
- Oracle Planning Cloud (PBCS / EPBCS)
- Smart View
- Data Management
- EPM Automate
- Groovy scripting (highly desirable)
- Excellent communication skills — able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively within delivery teams
- Highly organised, proactive, and confident managing multiple priorities
Desirable Experience:
- Finance or accountancy background and/or qualification
- Exposure to other Oracle EPM Cloud modules, including FCCS, ARCS, EDMCS, PCMCS, Narrative Reporting, or Tax Reporting
- Experience migrating from Hyperion Planning to Oracle EPM Cloud
Why Join?
This is a true delivery role for experienced Oracle EPM Planning consultants who want responsibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to work on meaningful, complex programmes.
If you're someone who enjoys owning solutions, solving real FP&A problems, and seeing your work go live and deliver value, this role offers exactly that.
