About the role
Our Strategic Planning Service undertakes exciting projects like preparing our local plan and minerals and waste plans, determining planning applications for minerals and waste developments, supporting our communities to produce neighbourhood plans, and measuring the performance of our development plans.
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic planning professional to support the Service in delivering its development management functions relating to minerals and waste development.
Responsibilities
- Work on a range of planning applications relating to mines and quarries, landfill and other facilities managing waste
- Provide sound and timely advice on Plan Policies and development proposals
- Process pre-application submissions and EIA screening and scoping opinions
- Be involved in ongoing activities associated with the development, restoration and review of sites
Requirements
The successful candidate will have a strong background in minerals and waste planning.
