About the Role

Accountable for the completion of standard or non-standard tasks, within the scope of the function. You will deliver activities to support operational objectives for your role, input to planning activities with horizons of typically up to 6 months, and make decisions within parameters set by your manager, using job and specialist experience. You will interact with clients or users around specific work efforts and deliverables, support delivery of Health and Safety policy and standards, and supervise the activities of service partners to meet deadlines and quality standards taking account of impact outside area of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ownership of the operational management of Livingston
  • Deliver all facilities management and project services on site
  • Manage Facilities function interface with other business functions for Livingston
  • Manage day to day running of site
  • Manage the activities of the site Facilities team
  • Ensure performance of the department meets service requirements and strives for continual improvement
  • Support delivery of Health and Safety policy and standards
  • Support delivery of Environmental policy and standards
  • Support delivery of corporate policy and standards
  • Support customer and company audits ensuring optimum results are achieved
  • Manage Financial Accountabilities – Facilities cost centre budget, Facilities AR budget and Functional project and AR budgets for both sites

Key Skills & Experience

  • Working knowledge of one functional area through job experience and training
  • HND or HNC as a minimum in an Engineering discipline
  • Experience of supporting a business contract and/or providing support to a professional function
  • Sound working knowledge of all UK facilities biased statute
  • Facilities, electronics/electrical engineering, building maintenance, health and safety, asset management
  • Project Management and Computer Drawing Tools e.g. CAD also preferred

Desired Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of automated drawing software packages / Computed Aided Design
  • Working knowledge of project management scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project
  • Working understanding of Asset Management / Protection
  • Membership of a relevant recognised Industry professional body (e.g. IWFM, CIBSE) – not essential
