About the Role

We are recruiting a Building Surveyor to develop their career working on a diverse portfolio of projects throughout the UK. This role is based at our London office and may be eligible for hybrid working, subject to business requirements.

As a Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for assisting with the delivery of building surveying services for a range of projects. You will provide technical expertise, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and ensure compliance within all relevant design standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with building condition surveys and producing clear, insightful reports for clients
  • Supporting the preparation of tender documentation – including drawings, specifications, and schedules of work
  • Assisting with tender submissions, contractor analysis, and the drafting of JCT construction contracts
  • Taking part in pre-contract briefings and ensuring smooth project handovers with the team
  • Carrying out regular site inspections to monitor quality, progress, and health & safety compliance
  • Attending client and project meetings, representing the business with professionalism and technical confidence
  • Travelling to sites and client locations as required

Requirements

  • A relevant degree or strong working experience
  • Experience working with AutoCAD
  • Working towards or hoping to achieve RICS Chartership
  • Full clean driving licence with access to your own vehicle
  • License to use drones on construction sites (Desirable)
  • CSCS Card (Desirable)

This role is subject to a DBS Enhanced check.

Working Hours and Holiday

  • Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm (finishing at 4:30pm on a Friday)
  • Holiday: 25 days (pro-rata'd) plus bank holidays
