Quantity Surveyor
Lindum Group LtdWe are currently seeking a commercially astute and proactive Quantity Surveyor to join the Lindum York minor works team, working across a varied portfolio of public sector and private sector up to £2m.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor who enjoys working collaboratively with a wider project team, and has the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining commercial control and ensuring projects are delivered successfully from a financial and contractual perspective.
Requirements
· QS experience in the construction industry is essential with ability to manage multiple contracts at once · You will ideally also have a relevant Higher Education qualification (HNC, Diploma or Degree) · Strong commercial acumen, with a clear understanding of cost control, profitability, risk management and contractual obligations. · The ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritising workloads and meeting deadlines. · Work collaboratively with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and the wider business to achieve successful project outcomes. · Experience supervising and mentoring trainee/assistant team members would be an significant advantage · You must be IT literate with intermediate level Microsoft Excel and Word skills · Strong organisational skills with a positive can do attitude · A full driving licence is essential
Hours of work are 0730 – 1700 Monday to Friday.
