
Senior Quantity Surveyor (MEP/CSA)

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor (MEP/CSA) to join our project team in Blyth, United Kingdom. This role will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of projects, ensuring costs are controlled, value is maximised, and financial delivery is achieved in line with project objectives.
Responsibilities
- Manage all commercial and contractual aspects of the project lifecycle
- Prepare, review, and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
- Lead the procurement process, including subcontractor selection, tendering, and contract negotiations
- Manage subcontractor accounts, including valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Monitor project costs and identify risks and opportunities to ensure financial control
- Support and collaborate with Project Managers, Package Managers, and site teams on cost management
- Ensure all contractual documentation is maintained and up to date
- Attend Commercial Meetings, Site Meetings, and Project Reviews
- Evaluate and process change orders and manage variations in line with contract requirements
- Prepare and submit interim valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts
- Provide commercial advice and support to the wider project team
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms, conditions, and company procedures
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports for senior management
- Proactively identify and resolve commercial and contractual issues
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar discipline
- Minimum 8+ years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role, preferably within construction
- Strong experience managing commercial aspects of large-scale construction projects
- Proven track record in cost control, procurement, and contract administration
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and financial management skills
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial practices
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams
- High level of attention to detail and organisational skills
- Data centre, industrial, or mission-critical project experience is advantageous
