Overview

Project Controls and Commercial Services (PCCS) is the mechanism in which Sellafield Ltd have engaged KBR Ltd to provide Commercial and Project Controls Services to the portfolio of enterprise projects, in addition to the original PPP programme. Those services include the provision of some 150+ Commercial and Project Controls Professionals across the Sellafield Ltd network of Projects.

KBR's rapidly growing nuclear team of teams is working at the forefront of the UK's nuclear space on some of the most exciting new-build, defence and decommissioning programmes.

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor (QS) will provide pre-contract commercial support, including:

  • Developing procurement and commercial strategies in collaboration with demanders
  • Preparing all necessary contract documentation
  • Leading the tendering process
  • Managing and progressing additional tenders within the area in line with the procurement pipeline

The Quantity Surveyor will undertake ongoing contract management duties for live contracts, ensuring accurate and timely maintenance of records in CEMAR, ATAMIS, and the Procurement Plan.

The scope also includes:

  • Supporting the wider remediation commercial team by undertaking actual cost audits on the new framework to ensure defined costs are accurate and reflective of the Schedule of Cost Components
  • Completing the final accounting of multiple contracts

Essential skills and experience

  • Solid experience in NEC contract management
  • Proven ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Comfortable working in a busy environment with shifting and competing priorities
  • Able to work independently, managing own workload and making sound commercial decisions
  • Located within daily commutable distance to work regularly in the office
