About the Role

An ideal opportunity for an outgoing, confident and conscientious individual looking for a career in Residential Lettings. We will consider candidates with no previous industry experience and those currently working in the sector who may be looking to reduce their hours or seek a change.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with potential new tenants to understand their individual requirements and backgrounds, to make informed recommendations of suitable properties to rent and landlords.
• Develop a good understanding of the property portfolio.
• Coordinate and conduct property viewings with prospective tenants.
• Negotiate terms between the landlord and tenants.
• Conduct periodic inspections of rental properties to ensure they are being well maintained by tenants in occupation.
• Undertake property valuations and present company services to landlords.

Requirements

• Own car is essential.
• Some previous industry experience preferred but not essential. Full training will be provided for those with no industry experience.
• Confident and professional, with the ability to deal effectively with customers by telephone and face-to-face.
• Enthusiastic and competitive.
• Excellent communication skills, with a positive and professional approach.
• IT proficient, familiar with MS Office packages and able to learn quickly.

Working Hours

Full-time: Monday–Thursday, 8.30am–6.00pm; Friday, 8.30am–5.30pm; Saturday, 9.00am–4.00pm (5-day week with one allocated day off)

Part-time: Minimum 3 full days per week to include some Saturdays. Ability to occasionally cover 5 full days per week during periods of holiday and sickness (estimated 6–8 weeks per year maximum).

Salary & Benefits

Full-time: Basic salary circa £24,000–£25,000 per annum depending on relevant experience, plus commission. Realistic OTE circa £28,000–£32,000 per annum.

Part-time: Pro rata, depending on number of days worked.
